HUNI YAWA – Amazon Weekend with Huni Kuin & Yawanawá

HUNI YAWA is an intimate four-day, three-night gathering near Tulum, rooted in the living traditions of the Huni Kuin and Yawanawá peoples of the Brazilian Amazon.
Guided by Dua Ninawa Huni Kuin and Wãnu Yawanawá, the immersion brings participants into respectful contact with ancestral knowledge through sacred songs, traditional ceremonies, prayers, conversations, community life and time immersed in nature.
Throughout the gathering, participants may be invited to experience traditional offerings such as Nixi Pae, Rapé, Hãpaya, Kapum (Kambô), healing plant baths and Kene body painting, according to the rhythm of the retreat, individual eligibility and the guidance of the family.
This is not a conventional workshop or performance. It is an invitation to participate with presence, humility and respect in a living cultural tradition carried across generations.
The gathering is intentionally limited to approximately 15 participants, creating space for meaningful connection, personal guidance, shared meals and genuine community.
